The New Waterford and District Sports Heritage Hall of Fame has revealed its honorees for 2025.

On July 14, an induction ceremony will take place at the Knights of Columbus in New Waterford to honor two athletes, two builders, one individual who serves as both an athlete and builder, and two teams.

Belinda Campbell, who excelled in soccer and basketball, along with Timmy Mason from boxing, will enter the hall of fame as athletes. Meanwhile, Jerry Walker and the late Tommy Hogan will join the hall of fame as contributors to baseball development.

Lowell Cormier will be honored as both an athlete and builder for his contributions to basketball, soccer, and baseball.

The 1965-66 and 1967-68 Mount Carmel basketball squads will similarly secure their spots in the hall of fame this year.

During the 2024 induction ceremony, John Melvin Angione, Cheryl Angione, and Mike (Bat) Cameron were honored as athletes. The esteemed builder award posthumously went to Frank MacKenzie.

The 1974-75 Breton Education Centre girls' soccer squad and the 1984 New Waterford Dodgers baseball team were honored with induction in 2024.

The Hall of Fame was founded in 2013.
