One of the last things you want to go wrong in an off-road vehicle.

When you buy top-of-the-line UTVs , and let there be no doubt, that is precisely what Polaris does. RZR Pro R and Pro R 4 are, then you want to drive them hard. If you drive a little too hard and flip one over, then it should be no big deal because these things are meant to take that kind of impact and keep you safe. I've flipped UTVs twice and came out relatively unscathed.

However, owners of certain Polaris RZR Pro R and Pro R 4 models will need to temporarily set aside those plans.

Polaris Industries has issued a recall for specific VIN numbers of their 2022-2025 Polaris RZR Pro R and RZR Pro R 4 recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs). They have found that certain units lack properly secured fasteners on the rollover protective structure (ROPS), which can compromise occupant safety during a roll-over incident due to inadequate protection, thereby increasing the risk of injuries.

The models in question were distributed across all Polaris dealerships throughout North America from November 2021 until January 2025, with prices ranging from $32,000 to $50,000. Should your unit be among those subject to recall, reach out to an official Polaris dealership to arrange a complimentary examination and fix at their premises.

Polaris suggests that customers can keep using the recalled ROVs before getting them inspected and repaired at a dealership, provided they perform an inspection by adhering to the ROPS Fastener Verification Instructions. found on the company’s website , and if the customer discovers that the fasteners on the vehicle’s ROPS pillar connections are securely in position while they await the completion of repairs at the dealership.

Approximately 910 units are subject to this recall, including around 10 that were sold in Canada.
